1.You must be 18 years of age or older by October 13th, 2017.
2.You are required to wear a helmet at all times, and use your numbers on your jersey, bike, and helmet at all times. Other mandatory elements: registration wristband, time chip, adequate lighting and reflective materials on your bike and on yourself, including headlights and taillights.
3.You must be in excellent physical condition and have medical insurance.
4.You must come ready and trained, as you will be pushing yourself beyond your limits.
5.You must pre-register. No registrations will be processed the day of the event. To register online, please go to this LINK.
6.You must choose and register under one Peloton – Elite, Advanced, or Intermediate – according to your capabilities. As these are three clusters of fast-paced cyclists, make sure to select the right Peloton for you upon registering for the event:
Elite and professional athletes
Your average speed at the end of the day will be 18 to 20 mph. *On the flats, pulls up to 30+ mph.
Advanced endurance athletes
Your average speed at the end of the day will be 16 to 18 mph. *On the flats, pulls up to 25+ mph.
Intermediate endurance athletes
Your average speed at the end of the day will be 14 to 16 mph. *On the flats, pulls up to 20 mph.
*These speeds may vary depending on weather conditions, terrain, and your athletic capabilities.
7.Along the way, riders may choose to ride slower to join the peloton behind.
8.Broom Wagon will pick up slower riders that are unable to keep pace with Peloton C. If you chose to not accept to be picked up by the Broom Wagon YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Broom Wagon will not return to pick up riders.
9.Only registered cyclists may ride ROAD TITANS 300+. Guests who wish to follow the event in their own car must tailgate behind the Broom Wagon (behind Intermediate Peloton). At the conclusion of each day, your guests may join you at the final destination.
10.All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are not able to participate in the event after having purchased your registration, you must contact the event organizers by September 1st, 2017 in order to get a credit for next year’s event. (A $80 processing fee will be charge for your next year registration). No-shows will not receive a credit.
11.Only road bikes will be accepted in the event. No aero bars allowed.
12.You must pick up your event packet (which includes your start number, jersey, timing chip, and goodie bag) at the selected location on Thursday, October 12th, 2017 , from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm; no exceptions.
13.Only the registered participant may pick up his/her event packet with a valid ID. NO EXCEPTIONS.
14.Cyclists are not allowed to use iPods, cellphones, or headphones while riding in the challenge.
15. At the culmination of ROAD TITANS 300+, the riders with the fastest combine time in their respective categories/Pelotons will be awarded the Cronus Achievement trophy (in Greek mythology, Cronus was the leader of the TITANS). Cronus winners will receive a complimentary entry into next year’s event, while the winner from Women Elite Peloton and the Men Elite Peloton will receive a set of Bontrager wheels sponsored by Trek.
Each of the Peloton Elite will also be rewarded with a Road Titan 300 helmet, an honor fit for an immortal.
